This is a one-year reflection since The Courage Collective facilitated our first DEI Learning Session, and what a ride it’s been.
Since that day, September 16, 2020, we’ve facilitated 75+ learning/consulting sessions, worked with 15+ companies, added 12 new team members (with more on the way), launched one new brand — Liberation Conversations (with three more on the way), and hit some exciting revenue milestones.
Perhaps above all, though, we’re having a meaningful impact and creating space for the complexities of the human experience at work; a feeling so many have clearly been craving.
Our “product” — though available to everyone — isn’t necessarily for everyone. Some choose the sidelines where it’s safe; where they can remain passive observers, consumers or critics of the work, instead of getting in the arena and being active participants IN the work of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion — the latter of which creates more meaningful, transformative, and growth oriented experiences. But for the folks who have been Courageous enough to lean in, we’ve shared some of the most beautiful & powerful human moments in a world where we all too often miss them.
I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible team I’ve gotten to work with over the last 12 months. They’re easily some of the bravest, most brilliant, & best people I know. And the fact that we’re making our mark and moving the world together is a profoundly beautiful thing. Nani, Brynn, Lindsay, Isaac, Kelli, Stacy, Esther, Marianna, Lauren, Marielle, Isis, Jaime, Lamar & Kendall, thank you.
Thanks to all of our fantastic partners like Daggerwing Group, redpepper, Ketner Group Communications, & Johnathan King, to name a few, who have invested in us, and in turn, have invested in their people, culture and growth as well.
When I started The Courage Collective, I knew it would be one of the most important things I ever created. I wasn’t sure why, but somehow, I just knew. And already, that hunch has proven itself true.
Here’s to many more courageous people meeting many more courageous moments, as we move and impact the world, together.
